Bella Roma – Good News from Italy

OK… so I’m not in Rome now but my correspondent from there, Macclesfield-born artist Greg Elvis, tells me via the inter-web that there’s finally some good news: that the isolation that we will be experiencing for the next few weeks IS WORKING!  DEATHS FROM THE VIRUS HAVE DROPPED.  That’s the headline.  And there’s lessons to learn from China too.  So… reasons to be optimistic.

As they say, Rome was not built in a day!

A full exposition of our trip to Rome will have to be saved for another day.  After all, no-one will be going out and about there anytime soon.  Still…here are some photographs:

  1. Aww, thanks Debra – Greg says that this has been the second day which has shown a decrease in deaths in a country of lovely people who don’t (or didn’t) always comply to the rules. The bad news has been people moving from the north to the south possibly taking the virus with them…
